The Carrier 38HQ660014 is a genuine OEM Compressor Lockout Sensing Relay / control board. Acts as a safety control and current-sensing monitor for commercial and residential heating, cooling, and heat pump systems. If a safety device (such as a high or low-pressure switch) trips and current drops below ~0.5 amps while power is requested, the relay triggers and opens the compressor contactor circuit, locking out operation to prevent motor burnout.
